Iniesta, best builder of world game of 2012
The International Federation of Football History and Statistics has appointed Andres Iniesta as the best 'playmaker' in 2012, ahead of Xavi and Messi.

Third in the recent classification of FIFA Golden Ball and recognized as the best player in Europe by UEFA, the manchego adds a new recognition.

Xavi had won this award four consecutive years, from 2008 to 2011, and Messi Barca fully complete a podium for the second consecutive.


Andres Iniesta has been designated by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) as Iniesta, builder best game in the world, 2012, ahead of two more Barca: Xavi and Messi. The Terrassa had won this award the last four years, from 2008 to 2011 - and Argentina was second last year. Thus, these three players of FC Barcelona again occupy the top three positions on the podium for the second consecutive year last year, Messi and Iniesta Xavi finished behind.

This award is further recognition of Iniesta, third in the recent classification of FIFA Ballon d'Or and voted the best player in Europe by UEFA.
